Immigrant Services Calgary is offering a temporary full-time (37.5 hours per week) Community Program Developer position that provides valuable opportunities for involvement in the research, development, promotion and implementation of impactful community initiatives and innovative technology-based projects. These will include a settlement video project, outreach, and others. This is a contract-based position until March 31, 2021.

Duties:
 
• Assist with project research, planning, marketing, and fostering relationships with existing/potential clients and partners through community outreach
• Assist with project implementation and administration, including the recruitment, coordination and support of project participants (clients, partners, volunteers), organization and facilitation of group sessions, preparation of supplies and training materials, administration of evaluation surveys, and management of other project related logistics and tasks
• Tasks that require technical knowledge include the provision and administration of translation and interpretation services, management of an online multi-services platform, and conducting a social media campaign for project promotion
• Create and maintain accurate program related records, including client/partner databases, outputs and outcomes, survey results, and any other relevant statistics and feedback
• Any other duties as assigned by supervisor
 
Qualifications and Skills:
 

• Degree in Social Science or related discipline
• Cross-cultural competency with solid experience in working with immigrants and refugees
• Extensive knowledge and experience in providing and administering translation and interpretation services
• Experience in organizing, developing and facilitating workshops and support groups
• Excellent computer/digital literacy: familiarity with MS Office and translation software, strong knowledge of various types of social media platforms, and experience with CMS and Adobe Tools
• Excellence in verbal and written English and proficiency in a second language
• Excellent interpersonal, communication and organizational skills
• Available to work after hours and on weekends as needed
