Reporting to the Quality Assurance Manager, the Product Diagnostic Technician is responsible for identifying root cause of product quality issues and solving them. Also provide preventive and corrective actions that will minimize quality costs. The successful candidate will be highly organized, technically competent, and capable of working with and influencing customers, colleagues, and suppliers.The ideal candidate will have a background that includes training in as well as experience with world class quality assurance systems. Experience with root cause analysis and preventive action implementation is needed. The successful applicant will have demonstrated effective management and improvement of quality.

Position Responsibilities

  • Resolution of product engineering quality problems within and outside Glen Dimplex including initiation and tracking of Supplier Corrective and Preventive Actions

  • Resolution of Customer Quality Concerns

  • Field and Returns Testing. Evaluate Field returns and identify root cause and work on resolution.

  • Creation of Failure Resolution Reports

  • Assist in Escalations of Quality Issues from third party.

  • Evaluating New Products and Testing according to UL/CSA standards

Position Requirements

  • A diploma in electrical, electronic, and mechanical engineering

  • CQE designation, or similar experience

  • Strong analysis capabilities, including using Microsoft Excel

  • A strong ability to organize, summarize, prioritize, and report information

  • Experience implementing and/or auditing world class quality assurance systems

  • Experience driving root cause analysis and preventive action implementation

  • A self starter who is capable of working independently and facilitating actions from many internal and external agents

  • This position may involve some travel
