As a manufacturing engineer focused on processes and equipment, this role will drive processes and systems to ensure the highest quality product delivered when expected at the lowest cost and ensure all manufacturing safety and agency regulatory policies and procedures are implemented and maintained at all times.

Duties and Responsibilities:

§Utilize Lean Manufacturing tools and methodology to reduce waste, streamline flow, and improve manufacturing processes; Ensures “build in quality” throughout all processes.

§Facilitate capitol expenditure projects to advance and/or replace manufacturing processes, including ROI analysis and write ups. Oversee equipment startup and ensure smooth handoff with SWI and OEE.

§Develop standard work instructions, workmanship standards and process documents, including visual manufacturing procedures necessary to manufacture items to meet quality objectives.

§Stay current with manufacturing processes; identify and implement new processes and equipment that fit our application including automated processes.

§Develop/update processes for changes in design, including updating the standard work.

§Determine root causes of product/process variances and develop changes to address cause.

§Verify and update bill of manufacturing including run rates and materials.

§Support manufacturing operations as issues and/or questions arise.

§Perform DOE and apply statistical analysis for product and process improvements.

§Work collaboratively with engineering and manufacturing.


§Ability to manage competing priorities

§Demonstrated skills in project management and analytical problem solving

§Strong verbal and written communication skills

§Thorough understanding of statistical analysis and the value of data in making informed business decisions

§Demonstrated ability to work independently on complex or under-defined problems


§Bachelor's (B.S.) of manufacturing or industrial engineering from a four-year college or university

§3+ years of progressive experience as a Manufacturing Engineer.

§Knowledge and experience in the manufacturing of sheet metal parts and lean manufacturing methodology.

§Proficient with Microsoft Office products including Excel/Word/PowerPoint/Outlook.
