The primary focus of the Senior Business Analyst is to work as a partner with the business to gain an in-depth understanding of process, strategy, and goals to ensure that information technology projects are aligned to support. The Senior Business Analyst will identify gaps and document the plan to close those gaps.

Responsibilities will include leading small to mid-size projects, assisting other project managers on larger more complex projects, partnering with business stakeholders to review processes, identifying risks and solutions to mitigate.

This is a key role in managing expectations and service levels to internal customers. Strong technology, analytical and communication skills are must-have traits.

What you’ll do:

  • Support and align efforts to meet internal customer and business needs.

  • Advise internal customers in the choice of functionalities.

  • Support in validating and understanding the analysis.

  • Communicate business requirements in functional specifications to the development team.

  • Participate in quality control and ensure the integrity of information.

  • Participate in the implementation of the solution.

  • Document the solution implemented (business rules, flow rules, process maps, user documentation, etc.).

  • Train and support internal customers in the use of the solution.

  • Lead and participate in projects.

  • Identifying and acting on opportunities to improve and update software and systems.

  • Gathering and sharing critical information with all levels of stakeholders.

  • Effectively communicating insights, plans and change management progress to cross-functional team members, management and external clients and IT solution providers.

  • Ongoing support to ensure solutions meet business needs and requirements.

  • Managing onboarding projects, developing project plans, and monitoring performance.

  • Prioritizing initiatives based on business needs and requirements.

  • Monitoring deliverables and ensuring timely completion of projects.

Education and Experience

  • Degree in information technology, computer science, software engineering, or a related field.

  • 3+ years of proven experience as a Business Analyst using quantitative analysis to make business-focused recommendations.

  • A vertical skillset that encompasses problem identification, analysis, solution definition, results, and communication.

  • Experience with reporting tools like Power BI and/or SAP Business Objects.

  • Experience communicating detailed technical and functional specifications.

  • Working knowledge of business concepts and processes (sales order processing, distribution, warehouse management, transportation, receivables).

  • Proficiency in Excel, Word, and Outlook.

  • Hands-on user of warehouse management application software preferred.

  • Proficiency in SQL highly desirable.

  • Office 365 experience is highly desirable.

  • SAP ERP Experience is a Plus.
