Fresh Prep is a fast-growing Vancouver company that makes it easy to cook incredible meals in just 15-30 minutes. We do this by sourcing local ingredients for delicious recipes, which are then prepared in our production facilities in East Vancouver and delivered to customers homes in reusable cooler bags. In 2018 and 2019, we were recognized by the Georgia Straight as Vancouver’s #1 meal kit and we recently became BCorp Certified!

 

Who you Are: 

 

Our ideal People & Culture Assistant is an up-and-coming HR professional looking to build on their people and recruiting skills. You are a natural people person and you are looking to apply these skills in a fun and collaborative environment. Reporting to the People & Culture Manager, you’ll provide administrative support for day-to-day HR operations, assist in training efforts and act as a key collaborator in our recruiting and retention efforts.


 

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Maintaining accurate employee records across the organization.

  • Assisting in implementation of HR policies.

  • Participating in the recruitment and onboarding of candidates.

  • Preparing new hire documents and ensuring that new employees fully complete the onboarding and training processes.

  • Providing front-line support for employees regarding company policies and employee relations.

  • Managing employee snack program and physical office environment

  • Assisting in coordinating corporate events and activities.

  • Contributing to HR projects and initiatives as assigned.

What We Are Looking For:

  • Minimum of 1-2 years previous experience in human resources, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Knowledge of legislation pertaining to labour standards, human rights, and health & safety.

  • Strong organization skills, critical thinking skills and attention to detail.

  • A strong team player with a customer service approach to supporting the organization.

  • Ability to build strong relationships and communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.

  • Experience using Dayforce an asset
