Fresh Prep is a fast-growing Vancouver company that makes it easy to cook incredible meals in just 15-30 minutes. We do this by sourcing local ingredients for delicious recipes, which are then prepared in our production facilities in East Vancouver and delivered to customers homes in reusable cooler bags. Who you Are: 

 

Our ideal People & Culture Manager is an HR professional looking to build on their existing skills. You are a natural people person and coach and you are looking to apply these skills in a fun and collaborative environment. 


What You'll Be Doing:

People: 

  • Actively provide advice, support and counsel to management and employees on all human resources issues, including labor relations and disciplinary
    actions and ensure that all appropriate actions are taken.

  • Protect the interests of employees and the organization by upholding our Human Resources policies and governmental laws and regulations.

  • Administer, implement, lead and consistently apply human resources policies/procedures. 

  • Resolve and recommend labor relations practices necessary to establish a positive employer – employee relationship.

  • Provide mentorship and assistance in performance management, discipline, absence management, retention and benefit administration.

  • Conduct full life cycle recruitment.

  • Facilitate the timely and effective processing of new hires, terminations, benefit changes transfers, etc.

  • Maintaining accurate employee records across the organization.

  • Providing front-line support for employees regarding company policies and employee relations.

  • Work with managers to identify training requirements and design development opportunities to enable all team members to grow in their roles
    and careers.

Culture:

  • Leading the charge in coordinating corporate events and activities.

  • Identify and implement opportunities to improve our team member experience. Assess current programs and propose innovative ways to improve
    existing ones.

  • Monitor and track team member engagement through our pulse survey platform, developing ways to increase scores if necessary.

What We Are Looking For:

  • 3-5 years previous experience HR generalist/people ops experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of employment legislation and compliance requirements, HR policies and best practices.

  • Demonstrated experience developing and implementing HR policies and programs.

  • Demonstrated experience coaching and advising management in an HR capacity.

  • Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills; demonstrated influence and diplomacy at all levels.

  • Meticulous attention to detail.

  • Participative management style and an advocate of team concept.

  • A strong team player with a customer service approach to supporting the organization.

  • Enthusiastic, positive, and friendly!

  • Experience using Dayforce as an asset.

  • CPHR or pursuing a CPHR designation is considered an asset.
