TV Producer -ET Canada
ET Canada is currently looking for a creative, dynamic TV Producer to fill a 1-year maternity leave position. We are looking for someone who can add a fresh new spin on daily entertainment news stories. The ideal candidate is a pop culture enthusiast, loves both TV and Movies, has at least 3-5 years field producing / interviewing experience and is able to handle the pressure of chasing, writing and supervising the edit of multiple stories a day. About the Role
You will be reporting to ET Canada's Supervising Producer and be responsible for assisting the news / features department on generating story ideas, paper edits and overseeing your stories in post-production.
Generate content for broadcast / online.
Assist in a daily chase of guests and visual material for the show.
Write and supervise the edit of multiple stories each day.
Write and produce web, text and social-media versions of news stories if needed.
Field produce stories, specials and interview guests.
Stay on top of breaking entertainment news.
A minimum of 3 years experience as a network Television Producer, entertainment news writer or similar position.
Love pop culture, TV, movies, entertainment and current events.
Have a working knowledge of Twitter, Facebook, YouTube etc...
Strong writing, research, chasing and communication skills.
Ability to work under pressure and meet tight daily deadlines.
Excellent organizational skills and the ability to work independently, as well as take direction.
A post-secondary degree in television or broadcasting would be an asset.
